The Duo4K SE is 32bit as it's the same cpu as the Ultimo4K.

A search on WoS comes up with these 2 ....

On the 2 mentioned recievers the hardware is 64bit as in proessor like most are ,but that dose not mean the os is 64bit version

... in reality, what difference is it going to make?

As stated earlier, Os Mio and Mio+ were 64 bit, but not anymore. No current box in ViX lineup runs 64 bit firmware.

The reason I asked is that 64bit os software performs better , I know its not a demanding pc but just thought I would ask as VU are high end recievers.
Thanks for the clarification on what these recivers are.

Many may say Vu are over priced units in todays market.

The spec sheet on here for the VU+DUO 4K SE Says '1,500 MHz ARM QuadCore Processor (64Bit)' thats abit confusing or miss leading

PLease correct me if Im wrong, on the sales site on here as it dose say 64bit processor for Duo 4k SE, so I assume it only runs 32 bit linux?
And I assume uno 4k se is 32bit processor as like other vu products but all running 32bit linux only?

It was an error in the spec sheet (probably copied and pasted from Duo4K, with just the cpu speed adjusted).

Looks like it has been corrected now.

If hardware has a 64 bit cpu it can run 64 bit firmware. Whether 64 bit enigma is currently available is a different issue.

I don't think that's always true.

I would expect that, just as with PCs running software on Windows or Linux, if you don't actually need to address >4GB at once then some code would run best as a 64 bit version on 64 bit hardware but in other cases the 32 bit version on 32 or 64 bit hardware would win.

Either way you don't expect to see much difference unless your case happens to get significant benefit from being able to address >4GB or from having 64 bit registers.
