Hi again.

Sorry, another question. I have a 2019 49" Sony Android TV capable of both 4096x2160p(24,50,60Hz) and 3840x2160p(24,25,30,50,60Hz). However, when I try to switch my Duo4K SE's video output to 2160p mode, I just get a blank screen.
I've tried both the HDMI cable it shipped with and the 4K one I use with my UHD Bluray player, but no joy. I also tried turning off the HDMI EDID check.

Any idea why 2160p mode might not be working please?

Thanks

Is your tv setup for 4k as mine when on 1080 and go to 4K it resets and changes automatically to 4K so would be checking tv settings.

Yes, the TV plays UHD Blurays okay and UHD YT content. Just switches up to 2160p automatically with those.

My zgemma H7S is set to
Mode 2160p
Refresh Rate 50Hz
Display content as Pillarbox
Display 16.9 content as Letterbox

So tv switches automatically so back to box and hdmi again

Hi,
check the inputs of your TV. 4K50/60 needs HDMI 2.1 and not all TV sets have 2.1 on all inputs.

Yes, all my TV inputs are HDMI 2.1 HDCP2.3. I used the same input that works with the UHD Bluray player top be sure.

Depending on what sats you can see here is a list of some.

Hi.

Sorry, it's not the channels I'm viewing that I have the query on. I cannot get my Duo4K SE working at 2160p at all. When I go to the setup display settings and select 2160p as the HDMI output resolution, I just get a blank screen and "No input" displayed on the TV. Luckily, as someone has thought about it, the box then asks if the setting has worked on it's front LCD, so you can then back out if not and it then drops back down to 1080p and the settings menu displays again.

The Duo4K SE is sold as a 4K capable unit, so I am wondering why it is not working at this resolution with my 4K capable TV.

First of all, check your tv doesn't need a setting changing to enable UHD colour on the hdmi input you are using.

Assuming it's set correct (or not needed), then on the duo4k se, in the A/V settings, scroll down to HDMI Colourspace, and flick through the options, maybe your tv doesn't support the one the box has chosen when set to automatic, if no joy do the same with the option below, HDMI Colourdepth, although I suspect 8 and 10bit would both work without any issue.

Thanks. I'll try the different bit depths and see if that works.

Okay, got it too work. It was the refresh rate. It was set to "multi". It's a bit odd though as the two other options are 50 and 60Hz and the TV is happy if either frequency is selected.

Thanks for everyone's help with this!
