I have installed oscam-emu from softcam plugins and it shows in softcam manager, but I cannot enable it as it crashes during "Wait please while scanning for softcam's".

fix here copy attachment to here ..../usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/Vix ...and reboot.

No - this fixes SoftcamManager when running a py2 image.
Your report is the only one I have seen for OScam on a 4K box.
In python3 images, which hopefully we will move to shortly, you have the existing method and also the support from starting Oscam by script (a la OpenPli/OpenATV).
It would be interesting to see if you experience this issue in py3 as the Oscams are identical to those used by other images.

Thanks but I haven't got a 4k box. I have a Vu+ Solo2. Will look forward to trying py3.

I had the same problem with a 4k ultimo, just done the fix and the online update, all fine thanks.

I have installed image 5.4.015 in multiboot but when certain to activate the softcam installed from the panel I get a crash.
I attach log ,,,,,, can you tell me where the error is and how can I solve it? Thank you

.... I'm not seeing any online updates for 5.4.015 (Release) (which is what I'd expect).

Hey guys, I have this issue with a zero, oscam stopped working, box crashing when you check the softcam manager.
Have tried the fix by installing the python file, no joy here. Should it be the same routine for a Zero?
Also tried regression to 5.4.013 but i cannot get my oscam to work.

As far as we are aware, 5.4 016 has fixed the issue. There should be no need to transfer any python files. Please upload the crash log.
