I started in the analogue days, my first receiver being
the old bsb one with the squarial, then it was as follows

pace mss-500 analogue receiver
echostar 9600 ad ( dual analogue/digital receiver )
humax 5400 (nice patchable receiver)
technomate tm-1500 (nice patchable receiver)
eagle linux box
technomate tm9100 (nice box but always glitchy software)
dreambox 800 (original with 320gb hdd)
2x dreambox 800 clones (one with a 250gb hdd)
VU+ Duo (with 640gb hdd)

At the moment am running the vu+ duo and 3 dm800's
on a wavefrontier T90 dish with octo lnbs pointed at 13e, 19.2e
and 28.2e and am definately thinking about getting usb dvb-t
sticks for all 4 receivers.

lol, I joined this hobby quite late in the day :p

My missus is French, so we wanted to get some of the French channels so she could watch native channels. So, got a motor, and did some reading. TPS could be opened with a tm5400, so I purchased one of them. Then, I found out about linux boxes, and decided I liked the idea of them, so got an eagle box. Then, wanted hd channels, and since the dm800 had been released, went for one of them. THe tm5400 went from the bedroom to collecting dust. Then, I decided that since the vu duo had so much support, I'd take a chance on that, so sold the dm800 and bought the duo. Then, got the chance to have a solo, so that went to replace the eagle box, which is now collecting dust...

I just about managed to catch the good times of taquilla and premiere direkt ;) Those were good channels ... lol

First receiver was an Amstrad 400 with a 60 cm dish, I think it was in the late 80s. Then added a 1.2 m dish with a manual control. Upgraded to pace 500, filmnet decoder and then filmnet digital sound card for the decoder. Dmac decoder when we lost filmnet with a six channel card. Next was a TM 9101 and now a VU+ Duo.
