Box turns itself on

Hope you are all well and staying safe.

Could someone please explain why my box Zgemma H7S turns itself on after standby.

numerous occasions in the evening when we turn the telly off it will turn itself on.

There must be a reason behind this.

Have you got any processes scheduled? If this is a new issue, hdid you buy/add anything new to room where box is?

Could this be a hdmi-cec issue?

No idea. But it's been happening recently a lot.

haven't added anything. I do have HDMI-CEC on.

No, don't use Harmony remote.

I do have HDMI-CEC on.Disable that and try again.

If you have programmed it to make a recording it'll switch out of deep standby by itself to do the recording.
Similarly I presume routine EPG updates will have the same effect.
I don't know if the new OpenTVzapper does it, it probably does but I don't know how often.

By "turns itself on" do you mean goes from standby to on or do you mean comes out of deep standby into either standby or on?
