Can anyone help, had to same issue with 1.3 (sometimes) and now 2.0.

basically, the harddrive can't be found, sometimes, and it certainly cannot be initialized, which is why i am here.

It is a WD WD10EADS 1TB which is internal.

I bought some jumpers for pins 5/6 and 7/8, but thes seem to make no difference at all.

I want to wipe absoluty everything now, drive, and everything on the VU+ and start again and start again, but when i do can someone tell me what to do.

As it is now, after all the setup screens, the first thing i would do is init the harddrive, is this right?
What's the best practise in setting the unit up?

Please help.

Many thanks,
Stuart

Try flashing with latest official image, initialize drive, then flash back ViX 2.0.

Loads of people have had problems with Western Digital HD, myself included. I gave up with mine in the end & brought a Samsung. Hope you manage to get it to work though.

I had the same problems. With the last drivers (in VIX 2.0) and putting a jumper in position 5-6 (enabling the 1.5Gb PHY option) seems to have fixed it.
