hdd- won't initialize, no attribute type

Hi all, dunno what just happened, nothing has been changed, or flashed, internal sata drive just somehow stopped working, all recordings gone etc, comes up with a message hard disk instance has no attribute type... when initialized already tried second hard hard drive and comes up with the same message, tried deleting partition with mini tool, and formating with ex4 same problem, any advice be much appreciated, also takes ages to reboot the vu duo4k like its stuck in a loop, would that be the problem?

This had the same attribute error, is this what you've tried already....?

Sorted. Found this on Google.
Format using MiniTool Partition Wizard Free.

1. Connect the drive to Windows
2. Run MiniTool Partition Wizard Free
3. Select the drive and delete partition
4. Create new partition (Create as "Primary" and select File System as EXT4)
5. Click OK and Apply.
Worked a treat.

I've tried that one, although upon hooking it back again i press initialize .. and same error came up, just trying to format it again with mini tool, and see if itd actually working, im just trying to understand what's goin on here, why it just wouldn't initialize any disk? could the openvix be corrupt somehow?

Would be useful to post actual message & preferably crash/debug log so that we can see whats happening

Would be useful to post actual message & preferably crash/debug log so that we can see whats happening that was the actual message, "hard disk instance has no attribute type" right.. spare hdd seems to be working after it has been formatted with mini tool, trying to format the original hdd that was actually inside , but that might take few hours its 1tb in size, (6% 10 min already) will the log record failed initialization too? I'll get that done, thanks for helping mate
