I have moved some recordings to a Nas drive and when I look at them with pc player software or a Formula Z8 the file names are different from those shown on the OpenVix box.

Does anyone know where the openvix file names are stored so I can rename the files for reading on PC media player software.

They will be in the meta files.

I use the event name file recording format as it is easier to read.

Hi,
I have revisited this issue and I can see part if the file name however the numbers that I have put on the end of each file name series/number like 0412 is missing. I can see this number on the satellite box but not on the NAS drive, is that because there is a limit to the file name length when moved to the NAS drive?

Those details are not part of the recorded audio/video file, the ones ending in ".ts". If you look at the movie folder on your receiver, you will see lots of different file types. I am pretty sure details are in the ".meta" files. I am sure someone who knows for definite will confirm.
