Hi
I have Unicable II LNB Which doesn't appear on the list, so I guess I should use the user settings.
How to set parameters marked in the frame
In the picture below.
Where to get this data from?

You just need the values in the 1st box in the picture - there is already the 8 scr version for Opticum defined. If you want to setup you will find the file unicable.xml in /usr/share/enigma2 just copy to a PC and add the additional 8 values to the existing Opticum entry and copy back and use that for setup

Thank You.
Just one question.
In unicable.xml for SRC 5, 6, 7 and 8 are different value then on original LNB box.

(SRC 5 - 970, SRC 6 - 1030, SRC 7 -1090, SRC 8 - 1150)

Should I correct it as it is on the box?
or is just a print mistake on the box and the values in xml are correct?

Use the box figures they will be correct for that model

Or just add your model to the list using the box values! Using the other model as a guide

Transfer this file to /usr/share/enigma2 and then restart. I have added your LNB, you will be able to select it. The change will also be included on the image after 5.3 034.

As a general rule, if your LNB is not listed, have a look at the xml file using Notepad++ (not windows notepad). Find any LNB that has the same user bands as your LNB. You can use it.

EDIT:
Attachment removed as updated file is in Release image now

Just noticed from your screenshot that you are not using OpenViX. OpenATV uses a different format, so the XML file I uploaded is likely to crash on OpenATV.

HI
I put my Unicable II LNB and problem is - I could watch 3 different channel, but when I try use forth is say connection error. When I look on VU+ uno 4k se lcd tree (A, C, D) tuner are green (active) and when I start watching forth channel E is green and just after 20 sec. is gone and VLC says "connection error". It happen on all my devices (I tested different scenario).
In Tuner configuration:

Tuner's

Tuner A

60333

Tuner C, D and E with different chanels

I cannot visualise the hardware you have. Can you re-do your diagram please? Add orbital positions too please. Also, if it helps for future, you can take screenshots using your web browser. See here:https://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?44054-How-to-take-screen-shots-How-to-attach-files
The pictures you have are good enough, no need to re-upload.

Diagram:

Scenario:
Tuner A hardwire to 13e
Tuner B hardwire to 19e
Tuner C, D, E, F - connected to Tuner A (with different channels -13e)
Tuner G, H - connected to Tuner B (with different channels -19e).

So, problem is: Running Tuner A, C, D are OK, but when I add tuner E is problem, not connected.

Also, when I use tuner B and then tuner G is marking as recording. It was not happen when Use universal duo LNB.

Is anything wrong with my settings on screenshot in my last post?

A common mistake is to set a satellite on a tuner, and later change to a different configuration and leave that satellite on that tuner as it was but it is not visible. I hope that makes sense.
Can you run this command and upload mytunerconfig.txt from tmp directory please?

cat /etc/enigma2/settings | grep config.Nims > /tmp/mytunerconfig.txt

You have also overlapped the letters in your description. It would have been better to have all 8 screenshots, just in case you made a mistake

EDIT:
Unicable posts moved from the Diseqc switch thread.

You have made an error with the connected to selection for 19.2. That should be B.

OpenATV uses different code for unicable. I think you have to daisy-chain them, see below. Best you ask on OpenATV forum to clarify.

A = 13E
C connected to A
D connected to C
E connected to D
F connected to E

B = 19.2
G connected to B
H connected to G

Alternatively, it might be that it is failing on the fifth SCR, this might be because you have selected Unicable 1. (Diction). I am just guessing

I have added your LNB to the ATV file and submitted a pull request, hopefully it is correct. I attach it to this thread for you. Please unzip before using

There is a lot of unused entries in your settings file, best to start again. To do this, stop Enigma2 with "init 4" command, delete all the lines that start with NIMs, save, transfer back, restart with "init 3". (If you are going to use the file I have attached, transfer it before restarting)

OK, I find this file (settings). I delete all lines with NIMs
i start from scratch.
When I use predefined Opticum SCRT 16 is not working, when I set manually is working.
I setting like you just say. And steel I could watch 3 canals at once. So if I try run forth device, then one from already running 3 device are stops.
And when I start run third device is marking as recording (it was not in Universal LNB!).
I was thinking with Unicable it will be working even better.

I like OpenATV, but I will be testing other image including Vix.
But in general:
Tuner A and B hardwire and not connected.
Tuner C connected to A, but D connected to C, E to D and so on.
Chanel's for Unicable always different for each tuner.

Question:
1) If I use CRC1 for 13e should I use same for 19e or different?
2) For 13e use LNB1 for 19e also LNB1 or should LNB2 for 19e-?

Thank You for your help, I really appreciate that.

Just to recap:

An FBC unit has two physical tuner screw things (I'm avoiding saying "connections"). These are A & B. Some people call these "root tuners". They can share each others signal device source. There are also 6 other demodulators which do not have their own screw-in signal supply source. Some people call these "leaf tuners".

When configuring a non-FBC tuner, LNB number refers to the one on that tuner. As an example on old technology, a vu ultimo non-4k, with three single tuner modules, and all three have a separate supply from 13, 19.2 and 28.2, all LNBS will be number "1". If that is clear and easy to understand, the same logic applies to FBC tuners.

2) For 13e use LNB1 for 19e also LNB1 or should LNB2 for 19e-?
[quote]

If you hooked up a 13e signal source only to Tuner A i.e is the the only LNB, it will be LNB 1. You do not have a second LNB on that Tuner.
If you hooked up a 19.2e signal source only to Tuner B i.e is the the only LNB, it will also be LNB 1. You do not have a second LNB on that Tuner.

[quote]
Tuner A and B hardwire and not connected.

Not necessarily. In the diagram you posted, yes.

"Connected to" in Unicable language means "sharing signal supply source".

You must configure (tell) each tuner what it physically has hooked up to it. As above, A and B can share each others signal source. If you are sharing a signal source, then say yes to connected. Your diagram shows that you are not sharing signal source between A&B. For you, the option should be no. Someone else might be and they should say yes. Golden rule of tuner configuration is that it must match what is hooked up to the tuner. People rarely describe what hardware they have hooked up to each tuner. Your diagram describes it. I have assumed that you are using two identical LNBs.

Tuner C connected to A, but D connected to C, E to D and so on.

As I said Above, I am guessing. You will have to check with ATV. They use different code. The daisy chaining is not possible in Vix/PLI

Chanel's for Unicable always different for each tuner.

Yes. A unicable LNB is designed for sharing among devices. Every device must request signal from that device on a unique channel. This applies to tuners on the same set top box. Otherwise two devices will ask for two differnt things to be delivered on the same frequency.

Yo have two different LNBs. So you can use channel 1 for 13e and also channel 1 on 19.2 because they are on different tuners and are different devices. Important thing is that it is tuner specific.

1) If I use CRC1 for 13e should I use same for 19e or different?

I don't know what you mean.

You are using OpenATv image that has different Unicable code. It is not in your interest to ask here because our code is not the same.

HI againe.
I flash new OpenVIX.

1. Is not possible to connect tuner D to C or E to D. I could only connect to tuner A or B.
2. When I use predefined for my LNB is same as was under OpenATV only 3 tuner could working at once (1 physical and 2 connected to A).
3. When I use user defined LNB and I put channels manually I once open 4 tuners.

Do you think problem could be with LNB?

As I said earlier, OpenATV using different unicable code. The tuner configuration code is also different.

As was confirmed by one of their expeienced members, their code needs you to daisy chain the tuners and also use Jess dicton. Jess is another name for unicable 2.

Our and PLI does not require daisy chaining. You can only share/connect to something that can have a signal wire, i.e root tuner. You cannot connect to a leaf tuner on PLI/ViX.

You have to fault find. When fault findining, you have to reduce your variables. So test one LNB at a time on one tuner at a time. To avoid confusion, put blue sticker on one LNB, and a red sticker on the other LNB.

You have to start from "zero state", i.e no older tuner configuration from before. So stop enigma2 with "init 4" command. Delete all those lines in starting with NIMS in /etc/enigma2/settings, save, transfer back and restart with "init 3" command.

Test 1
Put Blue LNB on 13e position on dish. Hook up to tuner A.

Set tuner A as 13e SCR 1
B= not configured
C = SCR 3. connected to A
D= SCR 4, Connected to A
E= SCR 5, Connected to A
F= SCR 6, Connected to A
G= SCR 7, Connected to A
H= SCR 8, Connected to A

Try multiple channels on 13e. Do you have any problems?

Test 2
Go to "zero state"

Put Red LNB on 19.2e position on dish. Hook up to tuner B
A= Not configured
Set tuner Bs 19.2e SCR 1
C = SCR 3, connected to B
D= SCR 4, Connected to B
E= SCR 5, Connected to B
F= SCR 6, Connected to B
G= SCR 7, Connected to B
H= SCR 8, Connected to B

Try multiple channels on 19.2e. Do you have any problems?

After your results, there are two more tests.

Can you recheck the tuner setup for the 19.2E tuners - there is no scr frequency defined for them.
I would do a reboot, then run through the tuner configs carefully and if it looks OK, run the command script again.
If they are still missing I would manually edit the settings and add the scr frequency values. Note you MUST init 4 the box (to freeze it) make the change and then init 6 to restart.
... then see what happens with your OpenVix Image.

OK, I done this - it was take time;)
But, in both same - only 3 tuners.
When I add 4 stream, on LCD fourth tuner is active for 2, 3 sec. And then switch off.

It is very unlikely that both LNBs fail on the same thing.

Why are you mentioning streams? When fault finding you do not add extra variables. What the front display shows is not really relevant at the moment. We want to establish whether you can use more than 3 SCR simultaneously. This is not easy to quantify as services are on different transponders/planes. If you can view/record all the services without a problem, what is the issue? If receiver can view services on three SCR it won't need to use a fourth one.

A Vu Solo 1st generation, can record 8 services on one tuner on a universal LNB. This depends on what services you are viewing/recording.

Please list the services on 13e you are trying. Name and transponder details. I dont have 13e so cant test, ill ask someone else to test. Please also do the same for 19.2e. I can receive this but need to change LNB to unicable to test. I have a vu duo 4k, so should behave similarly.

Yes, this same with FCB tuners.

OK, so One channel on TV, other in PC1, another one in PC2 and third in phone. So when I try last one, is say "can't stream...".

I test in different channels so is not specific channels is just not open more then 3 tuners.
I will be try record channels instated of streaming.

If it doesn't use more than three tuners, that is not necessarily a problem. If it does not allow you to view/record something because no free tuners even when tuners are free, then that is a problem.

You need to have a set list of services to test while you fault find. This way others can try and replicate your issue. Once there is a reproducible issue, cause can be established and hopefully fix too.

I have not seen many posts by people using two unicable LNBs, so there might be an issue nobody has encountered yet. We have a few people using unicable switches with multiple LNBs and they don't have issues. Switches are a slightly different setup.

I test with FTA channels to eliminate oscam issue.
I always choose different channels, not the same.
And the problem is always the same, 3 channels are OK - sometimes 4 will be ok (it happened twice) but there will be 4 the tuner and it will not be able to start, or another receiver gives a message that it has been disconnected.
The problem occurs in OpenATV and OpenViX the same.
I don't know what else to test, probably another LNB ...
Is there any test to check the LNB?

OK, which were the 4 channels on 19.2 you tested last?

13e and 19e
I done test from post #30

From 19e I tested: RTL HD, ZDF HD, Eurosport 1 HD and Russia Today

Same results.
Same at OpenATV - I will be make test tonight on Open Black Hole.
Last resort will be order new Unicable LNB.
My first choice would be irdeto IDLU-24UL40-UNMOO-OPP but unfortunately it has too big back and it doesn't fit two next to each other, that's why I buy another LNB.
Can anyone recommend a good LNB for at least 8 SCR who would not ruin me financially?

I'm flash Open BH and is exactly same problem, only 3 tuner at once.
I try different CSR - no improvement.
So I think I should go for new LNB.
But before that I need some recommendation:)

Thanks.

I made some research, and I find exactly same specification LNB with my...
So who is relay producer of this LNB?
Is from GS-SAT model: GT-FR8A121
