Another newbie question:-

I performed a full OpenVix image backup and noticed that the backup zip file included both the contents of .mmc and .emmc files.
If I need to restore this Image, would I have to subsequently re-install other images already present in different slots or can I just install
only the contents of the backup .mmc files (after zipping them) via usb stick without having to re-install other images installed on other slots?
Thanks.

A settings Back-up is more than enough for most users.

Would that include the motor positions, plugins and (if any) softcam and configs?

Yes with regards to user settings. With regards to plugins, only the plugins on the ViX server will be restored( re-installed). If they are not on the ViX server, you will have them downloaded on your PC anyway.

A ViX settings backup only backs up the settings/configs of the active ViX image. If you have other images in other slots, a settings backup will not backup those.
