I am familiar with the procedure to change the splash screen on a Solo2.
Is there a way how to change the splash screen on Octagon sf8008 pl?

You can flash the splash screen by usb. Have a read of this thread on the octagon forum
octagon-forum.eu/threads/bootlogo-octagon.3120

You will need to register to read it and do a bit of translating too.

Doesn't ViX include the manufacturer logo?

Yes OpenViX should include the original 'HiSilicon' splash logo screen for various supported makes/models since my commit here:

So going on the time line that will have been available since release 5.3.020.

Since then we've also had the multi-boot 'recovery' partition / menu update for the Amiko Viper 4K, Gigablue UHD Trio 4K and Octagon SF8008 models which would also need a one time USB update with the recovery image but also should include the original splash logo.
