Hi guys hope your all well,

I'm trying to clear up my memory on my box, I've reflashed many times I've had this box couple years. With every reflash when I ftp into the box there a folders like picons and many others that don't erase? Factory reset doesn't delete everything either. Is there another way to completely wipe the box and start from scratch?

Im trying to clean my box of stuff that over the years ive tried or installed, main one being picons amongst other folders. A factory reset or reflash doesn't erase everything so i am asking if anyone knows a way to delete everything?

Are these picons and "other folders" stored on an hdd or memory stick?

If you want to erase your storage device I.e /media/hdd

Then reinitialise the device in your box, it will totally wipe your mounted storage device.

If you want to wipe the image as a whole, best bet would be reflash to a latest image version, don’t restore settings.

Set up everything back from scratch and fresh storage device also.

If that’s what you mean?

I just read your message properly thanks I don't want to remove the HDD just trying to get the box back to how it was when I first got it without all the extra stuff I've installed over the years

Reflash the box with new latest image for your model.

Set it back up from scratch , restore no plugins or settings if want it all fresh.

Any recordings you have on hdd or usb will be totally removed when you format it on box so if you can move them to another location first you wont be giving out later.Be careful with multiple connected storage devices so the correct one is selected.
