Hi all
Is it possible to have the blue light on the front of the STB on all the time in vix image ?
Possibly - but 1st why?
I have a box arriving in next few days, will have a look at whats possible.
In ATV light is on all the time, is there a way to enable it in VIX?
... you've already had an answer in#2.

So I have only today loaded up my HD61 - I will have a look tomorrow!

Yes - but let me test it - I have had to change the code in this area because of a crash during 1st boot (Lcd.py) on my HD61 - I cherry-picked it and re-worked to fit our Image into my Git so if it works will do the same into ViX with Captains signature - OK?

 go for it.

Twol - since you have one of these new units, can you see if this box can blind scan Ku-band and C-BAND.
Box looks interesting and on this side of the ocean we need blind scan for both bands.

I don't think I have the setup to do that - I will ask those that know (Huevos) tomorrow - but so far of all the boxes I have had (and this is early days) it looks great - and is it fast!

This does not pick in cleanly either.

We should all really use either fileCheck or FileExists. What is the difference?
As far as I am aware, filecheck uses fileExists to see if you have read access, fileExists (uses os.access) will check what access is available and return status.
This OpenPli commit is from OpenATV where it was applied about 6+ months ago and is in the ViX image
I have to test this further - as the changes allow me to turn off the LED light in any mode, but still goes out when box is in Standby
@daz450 I hate to tell you, but I eventually installed ATV 6.4 that has the all the LED controls and I hate to tell you this but it either turns on/off the diagonal light. ........ so I guess before you are just lucky that the ATV6.3 image you had installed left teh light on.
Most users want the ability especially at night to turn the Led lights off - and now you can turn off both Leds if you want to do that
Thanks for looking into it. I am using 6.4 ATV and light is on.

Which ATV image date??? And does it stay on when you go to standby?... because mine doesn‘t on build 24/04/2020
No it goes off on standby. Its build 0 17 04 20
Updated to 22 04 20 Blue light still working on ATV
Yes - it does and it goes off in standby which is how the next ViX version release will act
A strip of black insulating tape stuck over the offending light is effective, works on my car dash lights 100%.:fart2:

I think you’ve not read the thread properly. The OP would like the light to be on in standby mode.

Thanks Andy I was starting to think I had mis-read the post! The new setup setting (as per ATV) will allow it to be off or on when watching - rest of the time its off
It's a most confusing thread all right. I can't understand why you would want a bright blue LED to be on when the receiver is in standby! I had to use the insulating tape fix for the blue LED on my Miraclebox which only illuminated when in deep standby and lit up the whole bedroom! Post #20 indicates that the LED is on in standby in the latest ATV build, yet @twol says that the LED is off in standby on ATV. The truth lies out there somwewhere...
Different Box Zgemma h9 Combo.
On OpenATV 6.4 led stays on (red) in Standby but goes off in Deep Standby. I would like led off in Deep Standby but still have clock.
By led I mean power led.

No chance - deep standby means the box is pretty much switched off and certainly not running enigma, just a basic counter so it can wake up when scheduled to do so.

Actually for the HD61, there are 3 settings in use for the power LED (compared to the diagonal LED - called Control LED for some reason) - and you can turn on/off in “live“ mode, standby and deep standby (on some boxes you can even change the colour) - I just hope nobody comes up with more options as there are so many setup options for Led control that it is becoming crazy (different boxes, different Proc entries) -now I am wondering about the h9Combo will go and try it
