Hello,

I would like to ask for advice regarding purchasing a suitable 3.5" HD for the VU+ Duo.

I am thinking of purchasing a Samsung 1.5TB HD. Can anyone please advise if a 5400 rpm HD would work without any problems?

I understand 5400 drives consume less power and generate less heat.

I hopefully get my VU+ Duo Monday and want to be prepared.

Thanks
BK

Hi BK.
I'm using a 5400 rpm drive in mine ATM m8, and it's a lappy hard drive.
Works fine.

I have just put a Samsung 2TB drive in my VU+ Duo and could not get it to initialise, I had the latest Dream Elite image on it. I tried formatting in the PC to fat32 and back in the box but still no luck. I have manage to get it to work by re-flashing back to the original 4.6 image and then it worked, I have put the dream elite image back on and all is well.
