Help from Universal to Unicable II LNB

Hi everyone,
I want to switch to Unicable II.

My current setup is as follows:

- 1 Universal Octo LNB. Only 5 outputs are connected, so there are 5 cables departing from the LNB to 5 rooms.

- My Enigma 2 receivers are (not all used, but at disposal)

1 Vu+ Uno
1 Vu+ Solo2 (2 DVB-S2 tuners)
1 Vu+ Zero
1 ZGemmaH7C
1 Octagon SF4008 (2 dvb-s2x tuners)
1 Octagon SF8008
1 Dreambox DM800HD

I have also 3 Enigma1 Dreambox DM500s, but I don't need these.

My questions are

1) If I buy

- a Unicable II LNB, for example the Inverto IDLU-32UL40-UNB00-0PP
- a Unicable II 8-way splitter, for example the Inverto IDLU-USP1O1-OUO8O-OPB, to connect my 5 cables to the LNB

will I be able to use my current receivers? Are they all compatible with this setup?

I know this technology is not fully exploited with my receivers, but I am interested in making my setup ready when I will change them.

2) Does the splitter decrease the signal strength? If yes, how much?

3) Do I need a power inserter to the LNB?

With unicable you only need to run a single cable into the loft and distribute from an 8 way splitter to the various rooms.
You only actually need to run a single cable to each room as you can put a twin splitter on the end of each cable.
I have a fair few E2 boxes, both old and new, and they all work with unicable.
I haven't noticed any significant drop in signal by using splitters.

All passive splitters will attenuate the signal.
The 2 way splitter has a 5 dB insertion loss (each output = approx 0.56 of the input voltage)
The 8 way splitter has a 15 dB insertion loss (each output = approx 0.18 of the input voltage)

If the input signal is high enough then there should be no problems

As the colleagues indicate, in general it is not a problem.
It is always good to plan the connection of the equipment to minimize meters and distributors, all have to pass power (DC-pass and 50-2400Mhz).
Because of the cable we now have no satellite signal, we have an SCRx channel that has a higher level.
The channel is the frequency (SCR that indicates) and does not give problems of levels in the equipment.
In tests, 24SCR unicable LNB, 1x4 splitter and then another 2 of 1x2, serving 6 receivers (20 tuners).
If the tuner supports unicable, it depends on the equipment, and the drivers it has.
Example, Qviart Lunix from 2017 bad, the same with driver from 2019, very good.

Como indican los compañeros, en general no es problema.
Siempre es bueno planificar el conexionado del equipo para minimizar metros y repartidores, todos tienen que dejar pasar alimentacion (DC-pass y 50-2400Mhz).
Por el cable ahora no tenemos señal del satelite, tenemos un canal SCRx que tiene mas nivel.
El canal es la frecuencia (SCR que indique) y no da problemas de niveles en el equipo.
En pruebas, LNB unicable de 24SCR, repartidor de 1x4 y luego otros 2 de 1x2, dando servicio a 6 receptores (20 sintonizadores).
Si el sintonizador soporta unicable, depende de los equipos, y los driver que tenga.
Ejemplo, Qviart Lunix de 2017 mal, el mismo equipo con driver de 2019, muy bien.

Hi all,
I know this is an old thread but it's exactly what I am after (advice on what Unicable II LNB to buy to feed my VU+ Duo4K SE).
The link to the LNB above is no longer active. The one and only Unicable II device I can see on WOS has 3 legacy outputs, which I don't really need.
