vu dup card reader voltage

there is a known problem with older linux boxes that the voltage is to high and burns out some NDS cards

is it safe to run sly Italia cards direct on the slot ?

well i have a 9 year old dm7020 with a white sky uk card running in it and its never been more than warm to the touch.
