Media Center on VU

Hi all.

Thought i would start this to see what kind of sucsess and failure you get. these are all files i have transferred to the vu from my pc.

I am on PLI
MKV file, 1080, 15 gig. doesnt start playing.

MKV file, tv show, 720 plays with no sound, press audio button and it displays ausio as AC-3

Avi file low res tv show. files plays perfectly but quality is poor due to the quality of the original recording.

I really hope this situation improves as this was my main reason for purchasing. any one else had any better luck?

I've played 720 and 1080 mkv's and selected DTS audio and all I've tried have played back fine so far with DE 1.3.2 Not sure why AC3 audio is not playing with the media player.

Divx and xvid avi's have played back stretched, stuttery and poor audio.

I'll give the media-player in OpenPli a go tomorrow.

Given time I'm sure the media-player side of thing will improve. Remember the Dreambox isn't what it is now when that first came out ;)

maybe it is PLI related. although i am much happier with PLI than i was with dream elite.

the 1080 is DTS audio. hope it gets sorted.
