The update introduces broadband enabled BBC iPlayer and internet radio streaming and Flickr and Wikipedia browsing applications. Sky Player is not included in the update as Humax continues to negotiate rights clearance for selected channels including Sky1 but it expected to be added in the next few weeks.

YouTube functionality was also previously mentioned but Humax says 'there are currently some issues with YouTube implemention' which it is working with YouTube to resolve.

TV Portal can be be accessed by connecting the box to the internet via Ethernet or wirelessly by adding a Humax dongle and pressing the TV Portal button.

The update includes a number of functionality improvements such as background delete and automatic file deletion, the abilty to select and modify multiple recording folders, SMS text entry and a power saving in standby mode. Trailer booking is also now supported and users can skip to the previous channel by pressing the Back button.

Bug fixes include audio drop outs on HD shows and improvements for those using an HDMI to DVI connection.

Humax says TV Portal will be added to the HD-Fox T2 zapper also in the next few weeks.
