DCC login enigma2 not found

I trying to login in ,But keep getting error Enigma2 not detected (Functionality limited)
,and no files from my Vu+, I have heard that using telnet I can create a password and then it should work,I am using DE image ,I do not want to do permamnet damage by adding a password ,
Anyone got any thoughts ;)

Yes DCC requires you to have a password set.

Telnet to to your VU+ as follows: -

open cmd prompt
Telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx <<box ip
User = root
Pass = leave blank and press enter
type = passwd
You will then get prompted to enter a password, which you wont acutally see on screen. Then prompt it to enter again. Thats it.
