View Full Version : Stuck on boot screen - 49 -
I have been trying to find a skin which I like and is big enough to see correct across the room. However the last one I installed seems to have stuck the box on boot at 49%.
How do I recover from this issue?
Telnet connection from PC, using box IP address (root/no password)
Init 4 (there is a space between)
Then filezilla (again root is logon no password)
Usr/share/enigma2 and delete skin folder
Telnet session : init 6
FTP to the box and delete the skin folder and reboot
/usr/share/enigma2/name of skin
twol beat me to it
... and did it more elegantly

Flatterer!!
Not able to connect to the box, doesn't seem to be on the network.
You need to go to your router and check IP address.... I always use static IP addresses so normally know where my boxes are, but occasionally even then they wonder depending on the boot situation!
if its a boot failure due to a skin error then it will be accessible
Couldn't get the network interface up, so ended up re-flashing it. I can't seem to find a decent skin and download picons. Have gave up for the night and will try again over the weekend.
Is there an IRC channel for OpenVIX ?

Confluence is probably your best bet, skin wise that is.
