Vu+ Duo 2 audio dropout on skip of recorded file

This problem is inconsistent, but when it occurs, the only "cure" I have found is to power the Duo off from the rear, something which is not only disruptive but interupts any recording at the time.

I figured an upgrade to the latest VIX software might find a cure but no, it happened again last night.

Suggestions gratefully received.
