after standby sometimes box comes on but no sound.Needs a cold restart to be allright again.

I have found a simple channel change fixes the odd time I have no sound.

…. until the hdmi port blows, not usually recommended when the power to both devices is on.

I know but think by updating to latest version problem is gone

Does Mute on/off not help?

does it make any difference if you turn on the tv first then the STB second?
