I have also a Harmony 350 but a VU+ Solo2 and every works with me.
My setting on OpenVix show (System, Remote Control Code)
Remote Control Type Legacy VU+ Universal RCU
Remote Control System Code 2
Text support yes

On the Harmony set-up for VU+ Solo2 I have more or less the default settings. The only things I had to modify was Favorite 3. I change this to Text as the remote has no teletext button and Favorite 5 to Subtitle.

The device name in is VU+ DVR. To which device button did you assign your Sat-Box? Did you press this device button before you tried click on any action button?

Hope my questions help to solve your problem. Good luck

Jeez 3.0.808 is an old image, but also a clone friendly image. Is your Duo a genuine one?

How about the original VU remote? If this works, it is the setting within the harmony. In this case I would assign the buttons by teaching.

My image is OpenVix 5.2.029

I have checked the web for problems like yours and I found at least one which is related to the setting of the remote control Code. Can you please recheck whether you have Code 2

This is how it looks with my image

This is an extract out of the openvix manual 2015, so it should also apply to your image

7.14 Remote Control Code

Menu > Setup > System > Remote Control Code

This option is very much dependant on the STB make and model you are using. For example Vu+ hardware allows for up to 4 different remote control code combinations, this is very handy if you have multiple receivers in the same room and don’t want the same remote control unit operating them all at the same time. Please note that both the receiver and remote control unit must be programmed to the same code otherwise they will not be able to communicate with each other.

Hi,
if you do not find remote control code perhaps the plugin is not installed. Is remote control code working on this old horse? I cannot remember.

ciao

I have checked and that code is not there in the settings,
it came with the stock remote which I work at the moment,
can you tell me how can I install the remote control code on this device.
thanks

Update your receiver to 5.2.029. You will need to usb flash your receiver and set everything up as new. My advice is to run with bare minimum (no plugins) and to also setup a swap file as you need to realise this is an ancient receiver and will struggle. Much better modern receivers available that uses new chipsets, personally I would look at the new Zgemma’s (H7 or H9 range) or the Octagon SF8008, far far superior in speed, responses etc.
