Blindscan using USALS is broken in this image and all others with the latest drivers. It works with January 10th drivers but gets broken again after that. Please fix this.

Blindscan with USALS is still not working - the dish moves to the wrong position. Manual scan is perfect including T2-MI on Astra 4.8E

we test blindscan many times with usals , really cannot repeat your issue here

Maybe I should send the box back. With January 10 drivers there was a fix for USALS and it works correctly for blinscan. On 16th January you broke the drivers again while fixing other things. Niow the dish moves approximately 15 degrees West of where it should be before scanning so is no use at all. Apart from that there are a number of problerms with auto resolution. By denying there are problems means nothing will get fixed. the motor is an alsat darkmotor (just regular diseqc 1/1.1/1.2/USALS) and works fine on my other receivers. It also works perfectly on January 10th drivers in Vix build 5.2.024 so it is not a hardware problem. I cant find a version of openatv that works properly.

Edit: I tested todays ATV image and still no change.

Are you able to upload your debug logs showing the issue?

Ill do that later on when I get a chance

Blindscan with USALS is still not working - the dish moves to the wrong position. Are you waiting for stable tuner lock before you start the scan?

By denying there are problems means nothing will get fixed. No one is in denial. I can't replicate your issue either. I just scanned 5 west (OpenViX built 1 hour ago). Dish moved to exactly where it should.

Manual scan is working perfectly and the dish moves as it should. The problem is only with blindscan. I will have logs shortly.

Actually looking at the logs now I see the problem - blindscan is not using USALS at all - it is trying to move to a stored position.

Ignore that last one.

Im not sure if anyone had a look at this yet.

The only differences in dish positioning I could find was just one line:

In Vix 024

< 41.940> [eDVBFrontend0] set sequence pos 3

In Vix 028 this line is replaced with:

[eDVBFrontend0] setTone 0

I have tried this file with Openvix 028, 029 and dev build of 030 and it still moves to the wrong position during a blindscan. I also used todays openatv 6.2 image and that didnt work either. the problem is only occurring for people located in WEST locations - in Germany for example there is no problem because EAST locations are working correctly.

At ronand, I tried the version the Dev sent me and there does not seem to be an issue with that file. What is the checksum of the file you are testing?

MD5: BFB2727B7C25088E507D8AF799B4CAEF

I just downloaded the file from here. Thats the same checksum

This morning I thought this was fixed. But on further testing it is not. It is difficult to test by yourself. Now I got someone to watch the dish and when the scan starts the dish moves to the wrong place. Dish moves west, which means the firmware believes I am further east than I really am.

My dish is at the end of the garden on a pole so luckily I can see it while operating the receiver.

I'll give it a bash in an hour - feeding the kids atm. Thanks.

No need - the position problems have been solved. But I think they broke T2-MI and multistream blindscan when they were at it.

What do you mean? There was never any t2mi or MIS/PLS values in blindscan on the Octagon. Those are sync'ed from satellites.xml. The only receivers that output those in blindscan are Edision (but not t2mi any more).

Anyway the fix we are testing right now is DiSEqC/USALS and as far as I can see that is now cured with these files.

Ok. I thought I saw on one of the German forums about T2-MI blindscan working. Anyway that is not important so I wont mention it again. I'm happy now with the blindscan so I can do some feedhunting. Next thing I need to do is put a small fan in the box somewhere. CPU is around 80C when the Onkyo is on underneath - the heat goes straight through the glass shelf. With the lid off it is a lot cooler but I dont want to leave it like that.
