I'm interested in one of these to replace my Solo2. The spec seems to tick all the boxes except maybe the 4 digit display. In the past I wouldn't have touched this brand with a bargepole. What is the build quality like and have any major bugs surfaced yet?

I've had one for 18 months with no problems at all. The only thing I don't like is the illuminated AirDigital logo which a piece of black tape sorted

Well thats a start. I suppose time will tell what support/driver updates are like. It seems to be the cheapest box out there with 2 x DVB-S and 1 x DVB-T tuners. I'm not too concerned about 4k as the eyes are beginning to fail a bit but H265 playback is handy and would make an android box redundant. And I'm not in a rush to upgrade the telly and amp yet either. But the increase in speed would be useful.

You got me wondering then  just checked my receipt and I bought it on 23rd July 2017.

I would say that it's on a par with the Mutant HD51 in terms of performance.

I see there is a H7 as well as the H7S & C models. Maybe thats an older model. Also is there any form of blind scan available?

I see your thread on another forum about them. theres probably enough info there if i wade through it.

There isn't a H7, some images just have H7 to use on the H7C and the H7S. The only difference is the tuners.
7S has 2 x sat and 1 x cable terrestrial tuners and the 7C has 2x cable/terrestrial and 1 x sat tuners. Same box apart from that.

I've never used blind scan and there is no mention of it in Tuner Config, only automatic and manual scans.

Thanks for clearing that up. Seems like its fairly mature then.

Are you allowed to change the remote control input with this receiver?

Yes, my HD51 remote works on it, I haven't tried any others.

Really?

Is that just by chance? Or is that you changing it in the input settings?

You can change the remote control type in input settings, although I've not tested any. I like the remote that these come with :D

Hi

Can you please give me the options it gives you in the settings?
