timer recording query

Most of the time i can use my channel epg to set a recording days ahead which works but on some channels now and next only,can i set a time in advance to record a program i cannot see but have a pc link to those channels that shows that source starting at xx xx and finishing at xx xx time:confused:
And maybe series link on weekly ones if lucky.

I'm pretty sure when in the timers screen there is an add timer button to create one from scratch. Same with autotimer screen.
