Is there anyway to switch the LCD panel off without it switching off the power button led?

I found the setting for LCD panel but it turns it all off lol

Did anyone manage to switch the LCD display off without the power light going off?

The best I can suggest is that you set dim to on.
with a 5 secs dim and the brightness turned right down (for dimming) its not noticeable until you do something with the remote and then springs back to life.
