Hi
My technomate nano-2t goes to german screen, it reads the USB stick but i cannot update from it, any ideas? I have screen shot of german screen

Do you know the ip address of the receiver? You can find it on from your router's config page.
I cant even boot the box into vix, it loads when i kept pressing menu button repeatedly but when i scan for channels it reboots, back to square one?

The Technomates have a LAN button on remote. That will get you into the Netwrok settings page, you can get the IP address of the receiver that way.
Once you have it, you can make changes using openwebif
Well, while im struggling get to that can you tell my why it reboots b4 channel search is completed please?

If you are struggling to press a button on your remote, how are you managing to do a scan?
Anyway, when you are ready, when you get the IP address, issue the following commands one at a time. This will install latest openatv (thanks to grog68). Make sure you select English. Do the scanning after you restart.
init 4

Forget the command line. For time being, please follow the USB flashing guide. Try a different USB stick, max 8GB, make sure it is fat32 etc

What i meant say is those commands thru pc or a plugin on the technomate? Thx. Ps: ive tried 3 usb sticks all fat32 :smash:

Using Putty, issue this whole command. Please paste it.
init 4 && sleep 10 && rm -rf /etc/enigma2/settings && init 3
Once again, paste the whole command.
This will perform a factory reset and you can select language again. I think you have a very old image on there or one that does not have boxbranding

Well recap, its now new from the reset and thats all ive done, do i need add the openatv? The channel search give me 1000 channels... brill and the common ones work, super, but the guides of whats on are empty. Moving now!! Brill
image openvix 5.1 - I did notice i only have tuner b?? i recorded a channel then changed channel and dialog said no tuners left>? :nono:

Might you only have configured tuner b,did you look at tuner a setup and is cable attached correctly?
Yes, set tuner a equal to b etc, cant find satelite, i check cables also, first go i found all channels, just factory resetting again
Recap i have both tuners working now and the channels are back, think i may just leave it be, last one, how do i make my channel list a-z?

Without you saying what tuning hardware is connected to receiver, it is not possible for anyone to advise on tuner configuration.
You can make your bouquets how you like using programs like EChannelizer, Dreamboxedit, Dreamset. The service list has them in alphabetical order anyway.
Ive sorted the 2 tuners now, it was cable i think, the only thing is when i leave it on, it reboots sometime later, dont know when and is stuck or booting.. i've no idea

If it is rebooting after you connected the cable, then there is a fault on the cable/connector/LNB port. Make sure that no loose strands of wire in the f plug. YOu can then try and swap the cables around. If problem moves to the other tuner, then that confirms receiver is OK.
Forget flashing by that script. You can use Image Manager to flash OpenATV. USING FTP application like Filezilla, transfer the unzipped OpenATV image to /hdd/imagebackups/ There is a video guide to flashing and restoring ( link in my signatures). Ignore the bits about downloading, go straight to the flashing bit.
Last thing, why should i be using openAtv instead of the openvix which is on the both please? also, do i upload the whole update folder to that destination?

There are no more Vix images for your receiver.
You don't have to change the image you have on it if you are happy with it.
Thxs, i've put the contents of update folder in the hdd/imagesbackup area, vix keeps freezin, had enough, whats next?

You have a really old ofgwrite. There used to be an issue with flashing the Technomates using Image manager.
Use the latest version of plugin by Dimitrij. With this plugin, you must unzip the image you wish to flash.

Just heard back from the plugin author, it only supports the receivers supported by PLI. Sorry for suggesting it.
Best you perservere with the USB method.

If that installs then he can use a telnet connect and ofgwrite -r -k /media/usb/whatever foldername
Now the box wont boot up hangs on 99 or 49 percent

Managed get it on, tried thee above ofgwrite err again, how do i undo a file that i filezilla overwriten?

If its booting up to 90% then you should be able to do a telnet session - you just need to check the IP address.
Then access E2 in console mode... and as Abu says lets see what its doing.

It sometimes boots up, 1 out of 10, i want to wipe this and put openatv on, thats it, i dont know what E3 console is ... ive deleted ofgwrite and left it on, i want to get vix off please
Personally this sound likes the USB ports could be knackered.
Connect a MAX 8GB USB stick formatted FAT32 to one of the USB ports.
Then open telnet, enter this command 'df -h'. Post the output.

Does it boot up if you disconnect the HDD?
Not tried disconnecting HDD - here is result of df -h - the USB is the kingston 4GIG fat32
