Multiboot and recording

Is it possible to use SD card for both multiboot and recording with 2 partitions at the same time?
If not, can I install multiboot on USB pendrive to be able to use SD card only for recording?

Its only supported on a combination of SD and the eMMC.
Also the multiboot use of the SD card uses all 4 partitions - so cannot setup for other uses even if it is a SD card with more than 8GB
