HDR makes my game worse

So if I activate HDR ingame everything gets (more) washed out and less colorful. I did some screenshot comparisons and really everything looks worse. Played around with HDR brightness, no change. I have a Samsung KS7090, console is PS4 Pro.

Any ideas? What are your experiences with HDR?

Also, is anyone else a bit put off by the blurry/washed out graphics? I guess this was done to combat anti aliasing but it looks kinda weird on interior or similar close by objects.

Have you enabled UHD colour in the TV menu system ?

I’m sure that make and model had colour space issues amongst other issues. A firmware update was meant to fix those issues, but reading some reports it didn’t fix it, so a bit unsure what to say.
