How to upgrade Mutant hd51 vix 5.0.0027 to 5.2.004

I’m not new to flashing as I used to have a vu solo2, but I’ve had my mutant hd51 about a year and now looking to upgrade the image to the newest out, but for the life of me can’t get it to work.

I’m using a usb all formated to fat32 transferring hd51 folder over, plug it in and reboot but nothing, then comes up saying no files recognised on the flash drive.

What am I doing wrong?

Thats because you are doing it wrong. If memory serves me right, insert usb flash drive, turn off, turn on and immediately press the power button on the receiver, not the remote power button.

why not do a couch flash ? I did the same on my duo2's

I'm not sure if couch flashing was available in 5.0.0027, and there will be no feeds (?) to download any relevant plugins.

Standalone plugin by Dimitrij is available on forum. Can someone post a link.

Make sure you make a settings backup first in Vix > Backup Manager
