external hdd wont mount

Hi guys - a bit stuck here,I have a samsung 1Tb external hdd.It has a load of movies on it in various formats - MP4 xvid etc etc .This works just fine on laptop with vlc player. I would like to plug it into the vu solo2 and watch the movies.I have vix on the box. I have have been to mount manager - wont mount - been into setup mounts - left right arrow - hdd and hdd2 reboot box - still wont mount.

What format is the HDD? If not EXt4, you will need to install drivers from plugins.

sorry for being a dummy - but what drivers should I be looking for - and how to install ?

If its formatted to NTFS you will defo need drivers from the plugins. Take a look in Plugins > Green button (Download) and look in extensions probably or system. Not sure as not near a receiver. It will read something like 3G-NTFSxxxx or similar.
