I am completely new. Got my VU+ DUO 2 a few days ago and now installed OpenVix.
I have the the following setup (identical for both tuner A and B)
Configuration: Simple
Mode: DiSEqC A/B
Port A: 28.2E
Port B: 19.2E Ku-band

After flashing the new image, I scanned and can get all the services from both satellites.
But PIP is not working. When I active it, I get the PIP of the current channel. SO far so good. But when I then change channel, I get a message "Tune failed" regardless of which channel I change to. The PIP of the previous channel remains, though.

I also cannot get autobouquets to work. I follow the instructions in the manual and then get a message:
Failed to tune FreeSat UK on tuner B
I tried various other providers (Sky, Canal France) and always the same

I also would like to understand how to get Picons to work. I fiddled with some plugins but don't understand how to make them show in the EPQ and on the LCD screen.

The LCD screen was plain with the image the box came with (no idea which one, but it was aw

Welcome. Best not to combine several issues in one thread in my opinion. One person will post about x, another will post about y. It gets messy.

Something is not right with your tuners. Tuner cards and tuners are different things. Post a screenshot of following screen: Menu >Information > Devices
There is a link to screenshots guide in my signature if you need it.

For the duo2, you will need to use lcd4linux. There are few pre-made configs about on forum.

How many satellite signal wires do you have coming to the receiver?

How many diseqc switches do you have?
How many ports on your LNB for 19.2?
How many ports on your LNB for 28.2?

Hi Abu -- thank you so much for picking this up.
Attached is a screenshot (thanks for the instructions on how to do so as well!)
I had a sat company put the dish and LNBs up for me but my understanding is that 28.2 goes into port A of disecq A and disecq B and 19.2 into port B of disecq A and disecq B. disecq A then is connected to tuner A and disecq B to tuner B. I attach a drawing of what I understand the wiring is.

Many thanks!

Thank you for your picture, it is better than describing it.

Can you please set up your tuner A as:
Simple
Diseqc A/B
Port A: Automatic
Port B: Automatic

Does it find both satellites?

Can you please set up your tuner B as:
Simple
Diseqc A/B
Port A: Automatic
Port B: Automatic

Does it find both satellites?

HI Abu,

When I set both ports to automatic on Tuner A it initially did not find anything on Port A but found 19.2E on Port B.
repeated searching eventually made it find 28.2E on Port A
For Tuner B, though it found 19.2 on Port A and 28.2E on Port B.

Does this suggest that the sat guys have wired the Disecq switch in the wrong way?

Looks like there is an issue with the bit of kit connected to tuner A. You will have to fault find. Label the wires, label the switches.

Check f-connectors on all wires.
Check the diseqc switches.
Check 28.2 LNB port by bypassing the switch.

Be methodical and only test one thing at a time.

I usually re-ask a question with a light difference expecting two separate answers. Bundling the answers together does not help the compartmentation of problem. Maybe just how my brain works.

It really does not matter which why round the LNBs are connected to the switches so long as you configure to match. Obviously makes sense to have them both the same.
