What do you mean by "setup"?

How many storage devices do you have connected?
What filesystem does the HDD use? fat32, exfat, NTFS, ext?

Hi
How do I format the HDD?

There's no menu option for it.

If connected will show up in the ViX menu under Storage. If this doesn’t show, the HDD isn’t properly connected.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkAndy, thanks for that, gave me a starting point.
Wasn't showing up - external one was.
Tutns out the SATA connection on mobo doesn't work. Tried connecting 4 different hdd.
Swapped connector with esata one, works. Not using the esata anyway, so no loss there.
Just need to transfer from external to internal now.

Aup. Press Menu > Setup > Storage > Initialise and select your HDD and press Ok and the Green button to Initialise it (Format to Ext4). Say Yes on next warning about wiping data clean. After that has been successful you need to setup a Mount point for the HDD. To do that press Blue button > ViX Setup Mount or Mount Setup and select your HDD and press Green to Setup Mount. Say Yes on next prompt and when successful say Yes to Restart your receiver.

You should now have a n Ext4 mounted HDD. [emoji4]

HI Andy, Thank you for your reply. I should have mentioned that I'm running Open 6.1. I have tried what you replied with but I cant see a Storage option after pressing Setup, What I am seeing is Video, Audio, Recordings & Timeshift, Usage & GUI, EPG, Service Searching, Common Interface, Parental Control, Software Management.

OpenATV those options are in blue button menu. I can't remember the exact options but you should have device setup.

Just a side not OpenATV 6.1 feeds are dead so you may have issues installing plugins maybe flash an updated image.

The storage option/menu will only be displayed if a storage device is detected.

Glad it worked for you. The lack of green button on screen could be related to the skin you are using, may not hot been maintained.

That's probably the most straightforward way to get some picons. The video shows you more or less anyway, it's is a bit old now and the menus have changed a bit.

Dsayers has a plugin that downloads and installs picons for you. Just google Dsayers Picon Updater.
