Vu+ Uno 4K flash corrupted?

Some time ago I experimented with a few different images, blackhole and openesi amongst others, before going back to ViX.
I couch flashed ViX and thought all was well but since then, if I try and flash via usb the box always boots into openesi.
The usb flash process seems to go okay with the led fading and getting brighter for a couple of minutes and then blinking to indicate it's finished.
I know it's not an image problem because it's the same with different images and I've used numerous usb sticks with only power connected.
I can always couch flash back to ViX without issue but it's really puzzling me now.
I just wondered if the partition structure on the box may have been corrupted and if anyone else had a similar issue before?

Obviously the usb flash is not working.......... Vu+ only use 1 partition on the eMMC, so if you try to flash ViX and get another image it just hasn‘t worked.

But I can flash ViX by couch flashing and it works fine but if I try and flash any image from usb it will boot into openesi.
It's not just an openesi splash screen or bootlogo, it's a fully functioning os. It's as if there is a separate partition with openesi on it.

Have you you installed openmultiboot plugin or does the openesi image use openmultiboot??? What usb sticks are attached to the box and have you looked to see if there are openmultiboot images on the stick??

I've just installed eparted to get a look at the partitions. The top entry is an 8gb usb stick

Sorry I'd missed your post earlier, you were right though!
Because I'm used to all my other boxes having internal hdd's I'd been flashing the Vu from the side slot without removing the other usb that I use as /media/hdd still in the back slot.
I removed it and it flashed first time. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction mate :thumbsup:

It just goes to show what other usb sticks can do when flashing,glad your sorted m8 as its a learning curve for us all

It is indeed mate. I never thought to check for multiboot on the usb and because it's a micro drive I hadn't noticed it still plugged in. (and I can't find it now I've chucked it across the room!)

Yes micro drives are very handy for tight spaces and wont fall out,start looking before the hoover comes out.
