Is it possible to have a bouquet which contains both DVB-S streams (satellite) and IPTV streams in it? Basically so satellite and IPTV work seamlessly, instead of having to view a "pure" IPTV or "pure" DVB bouquet

Yes, you can have any service you want in a bouquet.

BTW, CrossEPG has nothing to do with bouquets.

Apologies! Feel free to move to another forum category.

Would you be able to direct me to instructions on how to create this type of bouquet, please?

I've downloaded e-channeliser, but that doesn't seem to do the trick. I've also looked through various forums online but had no luck.

Hi,
DreamboxEdit has options for that. For me it is easier to do it direct with an editor.

Awesome...is there a step by step guide or should I just dive in?

I read on the ABM sub forum (from what I gather) that I need a Custommix file. I'm assuming I'd essentially be creating that.

CustomMix is what you need to create to slot the IPTV into the non working Sky Channels you wish to replace.

Issue is that ABM will not create services it does not scan. If using ABM, you will have an issue with creating services that you cannot receive but fine for what you can receive

The process for editing channels with a serttings editor is as follows:
Import services from receiver to Settings editor on PC
Create/delete/bouquets as required
Add/Delete/Copy/delete services to/from the bouquets
Save bouquets on PC
Transfer back to the receiver using the settings editor

You will have to repeat this as and when your services change.

You can also move channels/services using your remote control.

I just use custom area and remove the code that removes "dark" channels.

I then use ABM custommix option to replace a now "dark" channel with an IPTV stream instead.

Once the custommix is done, I don't generally have to do much else with it unless $ly starts messing around with channels (one of the sky movies is such an example).

What is the shortfall/issue in using a regular SD/HD region.

Use Xtreme Editor, download iptv bouquets to receiver alongside any others you require and then import into Xtreme and edit the bouquets you want. Then export to the receiver using api line

What is the shortfall/issue in using a regular SD/HD region.Just tried using the "SD" region rather than "Custom" and I ended up with more channels being found using SD.

As I have removed the code that used to delete dark streams, not sure why I would have more channels using SD region. Any idea?

I haven't, yet, gone through all the bouquets to see what differences are!

Custom region removes HD channels then uses whitelist to add available HD channels, SD/HD region will give you all Sky UK channels including HD channels.

Just wanted to follow-up for anyone who comes across this in the future.

THANK YOU! I ended up following the advice above and doing the following:

- Download eChannelizer
- Load STB channels in to eChannelzer
- Load M3U list via "Stream" tab
- Manually swap out the satellite channels I wanted with IPTV streams
- Assign an EPG (surprisingly intuitive as echannelizer automatically assigns a satellite EPG to it)
- Load back in to the STB.

Voila.

Thanks to everyone who helped - can't believe I didn't know about this being possible earlier!

There is a surprisingly easier way IMHO using custommix.

If I get a chance, I'll try and do a quick guide because once you have set IPTV streams you can still run ABM often to get latest changes.

That would be fab, I’d like to learn to do this. [emoji4]

I thought you manage to do this.

Something similar to this would work https://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?58399-Custom-Bouquet-IPTV-amp-FTA-FTV&p=462397&viewfull=1#post462397
