Please tell use what image you are currently using. As Dream Elite has a built in wizard.

Double check this part: -

Create a new user account on your XP pc with these details as administrator: -

User = VUDuo
Pass = VUDuo

Create a shared folder in the root of C: drive called: -

share

Right click on the folder, then click on sharing tab. Check the box that says Share this folder on the network and allow network users to change my files. Click apply and ok.

Reboot your PC and VU Duo, then start again.

If it fails again please post the exact settings that are in the Cifs mount screen.

In network settings there's a network mount manager.

Have you read all this thread and tested the mount as stated? http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/showthread.php?566-Stream-movies-from-pc-to-VU-DUO&p=2724&viewfull=1#post2724

Also what format are the movies you are looking to play?

This guide works 100% with windows xp http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/showthread.php?566-Stream-movies-from-pc-to-VU-DUO&p=2724&viewfull=1#post2724 If its not working for you, you have a setting wrong somewhere. Have you any firewalls enabled on the XP PC apart from windows firewall?

What movie format are you looking to play? The Duo will play 720 & 1080 mkv's very well.

Whats the audio format on the mkv file?

Sicilian

Ok, just done some more testing with a few mkv's. Now all the ones i've got have dual AC3 and DTS audio. With the mkv playing, press audio button on your remote and make sure the DTS stream is selected.

Do I need to download a certain plugin to get it working or do I need to convert the audio to different format. Mkv files I have have dts audio?
