kodi pluigin copy backup

hi, trying to restore a back up from a kodi (addon and userdata folders) installation into a vu uno 4k but the box won't let me.

.kodi on /media/hdd is read only anmd does not matter which way i try (ftp, file manager copy, not tried from comand line) it won't copy the files/folders tried as well with hdd plugged to pc but then whn plugged back to the box, kodi plugin won't start. backup addon won't work.

anybody who succesfully manage to restore backup files?

I’ve took a copy of .kodi before and successfully transferred from one media box to another and so on. I’ve used Filezilla and FlashFXP. Filezilla on Mac and FlashFXP on Windows.

thank you, i'm trying my best but the only way i found working is by ssh, but even then copying the addon and userdata folders kodi wont start. using a backup from same version. a bit lost..
