If no crash log then the box hasn’t crashed.

Does the box need to be rebooted after enabling the logs settings?

Yes it does.

It makes the rotating VIX symbol and after a while the screen goes black.
The lcd changes colour to a green in some of the display and black in some.

To get it up and running again, it has to be powered off an back on again..

It's in the first post..Thanks - when you referred to "sending logs" I assumed there wasn't one attached.

Just crashed / froze againg but no log in /home/logsDid it crash or did it freeze/lock-up? These are very different things.
The log in #1 doesn't show any crash. It doesn't show anything much of use. The last thing was a (successful) check for Oscam running.

Se #7

It must be a freeze since there is no response when using the remote, and the other symptoms as in #7.
How can I get some better diagnostics data ?

The odd thing about that log is that it makes no reference to putting up the Vix spinner, which you say you saw, so:

where are the debug logs kept?
is that file-system full (unlikely, but better to find out now ....)?
has this just started to happen?

... the debug logs are in /home/root (same as @adm in another thread).

Got a crash file this morning. But not with the same actions as the other day.

Se attached files.

Hmmm...., not much help but I'm sure there have been other similar crashes when the EPG data is odd/incorrect in some way, but there's insufficient info to track down where the problem occurs.
You do seem to be picking up incorrect EPG data (programmes starting after they finish?).

Is this affected by clock changes? If so, might be an idea to clear the EPG cache and re-import.

Deleted the EPG data on the HD.
Uninstalled the CrossEPG and installed it again.

This problem has started after the last software upgrade ( can't remember the last version)

Deleting epg.dat from the hd is not always as easy as it sounds......

Try http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?52890-Remove-EPG

Its important to remove the crossepg folder from the hard drive as well as the epg.dat - the method in the post above will do that.

ClausYes. This one is a crash (not a hang) and is related to CrossEpg plugin, which you'd just installed.

No it has been installed all the time... I just removed it and installed it again to get the EPG file deleted.

It have been working without problems before.

Think I will du a new install on the receiver ...

CrossEPG keeps a folder after uninstall as the contents were not added by opkg. You can use this script/plugin to remove it completely

Use the script/plugin @ccs linked to.

I would start again and setup your receiver from scratch using the newest ViX image.
