Hi guys,

I have tried the above tut but dreamon will only work while I'm connected to my LAN.

Do I use the ip address of the router or VuDuo in dyndns?

I currently have my VuDuo ip address and it's not allowing me access remotely!!

I must be missing something here, just can't get this to work!

Where I'm at:
1. Created an account on dyndns with WAN ip address.
2. Enabled remote Logon on router.
3. Entered port forward details to port 20786.
4. Downloaded plugin passwordchanger and set password.
5. Updated WebInterface settings to use port 20786.
6. Downloaded Dreamon App and entered Logon as above.

I can't get connected with above setup! I have followed those guides but I must have missed something! My router is a Motorola Netopia 2247-62.

Anything else I need to do?

setup a dns account, forward port 80 to your receiver, if using more than one receiver, youll need to use other ports, then internally, just enter the ip of your receiver (eg 192.168.1.7) or externally, enter your dns address, and your router will then forward via port 80 (web interface) to your receiver, meaning you can really spin out the missus and kids by sending messages to the screen when youre not in the house ;) lol

Eircom have similar routers in Ireland. You need to set the firewall to low, to allow port forwarding to work.

Thanks digidude!

I'm lost on "forward port 80 to your receiver". Is this from my dyndns Acc?

Still no joy but now I can at least remote Logon to the router, progress!

I'm guessing it's something to do with my port forwarding as when the port 20786 is included in the URL it times out..

This is my port forwarding settings:

Service Details

Service Details
*
Service Name *VuDuo
Protocol TCP
Global Port Range 20786 - 20786
Base Host Port 20786

*Anything incorrect with this??

Those settings are correct. Have you pointed it to the IP address of your Vuplus?

Have you tried to login in through the LAN? I would alway check that it worked on the LAN first, before I'd try the WAN.

Hi there, I finally got it working!

Two things I'd to change:
1. Change router firewall settings to low (thanks RogerThis)
2. Remove IP passthrough to Vu Duo

It's now working a dream!

Thanks everyone for the hinters!
