Flashing Icon suddenly appeared

Hello.
im uisng a octagon 4008, and a skin called MAGIC-FHD

Out of the blue today im now seeing a green dot with 2 green marks around the circle on every channel change, can i remove this and what is it please.

Sounds like an update notification
Means there is an update available

might well be right, i know there is an update as im uising an old image becasue of the powervu problem, so u could be spot on, can i turn it off some how?

udated you are spot on sorted, tunred update check off in the back ground and now gone thanks

How do you turn off this notification?

On older images, I could do this via Setup-System-Software Update Settings, but this option is not present in newest image.

hi go tot he normal menus aas if you were doing a normal ota update, .

you-ll see options like update image
update channel list etc, instead of selecting one of these press menu youll see back ground check no or yes select no

then it wont look for an update any longer
