Hi, tried to couch flash my box this evening, all was well until it rebooted then started to set it up, when i get to the picture size settings i say no and then it crashes the box, tried to flash with a usb but it just goes through to starting the box without recognizing the usb, have tried a few usb's with no luck, it then does the same and crashes the box, any help would be appreciated.

What happens if you say Yes to the picture wizard, change the settings slightly and then save and exit?
How does it crash the box?? Is there an error message or what??

If its gone through to the wizard you obviously have no settings backup saved anywhere??

Thanks, if i press yes it does the same, it's saying your receiver encountered a software problem.

If you upload the crashlog, it would help.

Use filezilla to connect to the receiver. . The log on your receiver is at /home/root/logs/ Transfer it to PC, then attach it here.

Sorry to ask, are you confident/able to issue commands via putty or similar Dream Control Centre?

See this thread

Stop enigma2 with

init 4

Navigate to /etc/enigma2 and locate the file called "settings"
Using a Linux compatible editor, such as Notepad++ (not windows notepad), edit the file.

Make sure you have this line

config.misc.firstrun=False

Save
Transfer back

Restart with following command

init 3

If it is not there, paste it.

The first install wizard is crashing. We'll have to fix it.

You can now setup your receiver as you need.
