youtube playing

Hi i`ve tryed to play a video clip on youtube player , when i`ve done a search thats ok but trying to play it message comes up (could not retrive video url for youtube_gdata) does it on all my searches any ideas?

I have managed to watch a few videos via the youtube player, however wouldnt say that it is the most friendly to use.

I used it successfully when on the Pli image, and Dream Elit BH image.

Pretty sure I've seen this bug myself with Openpli. I'm currently using Dream Elite 1.3.2, I'll check tonight and I'll also add OpenPLi to multiboot and see If I replicate your error. Hopefully try tonight/tomorrow. If no replies by tomorrow night, please give this thread a bump as a reminder :D

You tube would not work when i was using OpenPLi , works fine on Dream Elite 1.3.2

works on dream elite 1.3.2 for me although not all vids will play. We need a proper keyboard for this machine.

Works fine with Dream Elite 1.3.2 ,at first i didn't have audio but a reboot sorted that out, i hadn't used youtube on my dreambox for a while ,it just didn't work but it was down to youtube restrictions and not the boxes ,nice to see it working ok again with the vu.

I just had a play with youtube on Dream Elite. Tbh results weren't great. A lot of video's where showing as unavailable. The one's I tried to selected for download green screened the receiver and the ones that actually played had no audio. I'll try OpenPLi tomorrow and see how that performs with youtube, but like I said, I think its still buggy. Still main thing is that we can watch satellite tv ;)

I`ve install the pluglin mytube on the openpli in the menu, and it works really well so no more problems as its doe`s the same job for me.
