Hello all.

This problem has been bugging me for a while. And after i updated to the newest VIX version, i cant watch TV and record at the same time.

I get this message when a recording is starting and i am watching, another channel:

"Channel not found - SID not found in PID".

I have a Technomate OE twin box + USB tuner (Mystique satix) so 3 tuners. Somewhere in VIX settings i put default recording tuner to tuner A and vieving tuner to tuner B. But that didnt' help either.

That on earth is going on? I suspect that my tuner settings are wrong. I really hope, its because i am too unknowing to figure it out. Thanks guys/gals

EDIT: Just saw that tuner 3 was set to default. It should be set to "Same as tuner A" i guess. But that dosen't explain my problem i think...

Daniel

Its Unicable so you cannot use the same scr for all 3.
You have
Frequenz für Unicable-Receiver 1: 1210 MHz
• Frequenz für Unicable-Receiver 2: 1420 MHz
• Frequenz für Unicable-Receiver 3: 1680 MHz
• Frequenz für Unicable-Receiver 4: 2040 MHz

and A and B are set to scr 2, so change A to scr 1 and B to SCR 2 .....the dvbsky needs to be set to scr 3 or 4

Thank you so much for your reply. I changed the CR 1, 2, 3 accordingly. Now when I test the signal strength for each tuner, the signal bar keeps displaying the signal. Before the change, the signal bar would disappear after one second.

However I still cannot record. When I start a recording, and go to that channel, the screen is just black. The only channel I can view is the channel I was on, before I started a recoding on another channel... pretty confused right now :)

Probably depends on how you have this wired up?
Can you add a description.
I would also disable the usb tuner and just try with the 2 dbv-s2 tuners.
Also don‘t know what skin you are using, but does it show which tuners are in use??

Yes my skin is showing which tuner is active at the moment. I will disconnect the USB tuner, just in case.

I have my system wired as such:

LNB (Onecable output) -> 10 splitter (with power-through) -> 4 splitter (with power through) -> a cable to each of my tuners, in my tv box. What do you make of this?

A lot of splitters:)
Try just with the 2 receivers tuners and watch/record set to auto - not specific tuners.

Yeah I know! :)

Cool.will try that when I get home! Will keep you updated.

Right. I have tested it out and still there is black screen on the channel i'm recording. I unplugged the USB tuner and set recording tuner and playback, to default in the settings.

When i goto the channel which is recording, only the tuner "B" letter is showing, and its white. When i click on any other channel, i can see tv, and I will see the tuner letters A and B showing, and A is white, and B is red. ????

But if I am recording the channel I am watching, then there isn't a problem. The problem seems to occur when I record on a different channel than the one I'm currently watching...

Have to say defeats me even with 2 tuners - you should be able to record 2 and watch one of them without issues
Maybe turn on debug logs and post them here . Menu/Setup/system/Logs/settings

By the sound of it the most likely cause is a dodgy cable supplying one of the tuners.

twol:

I will try and create a logfile and post the output here.

Huevos:

I will try and replace the two cables going to the tuner, and see it that fixes the isssue.

Did this ever get fixed? Be good to show resolution in case others suffer the same issue.

Yes you are right.. I should have replied sooner, because that's the least I can do when people have been so unselfish and helped me out.

I'm almost certain that my problem got resolved when I enabled the debug logging...strange that this made it work. But let me check that it's still th case and I'll report back.

Yes just doubled checked. After i ahd enabled Debug Logging, i was able to record with both my tuners. If this solved the problem or a delay on some of the other stuff i did, in the previous posts on this thread, i dunno...

Enabling debug logs did not resolve this issue. You must have done something else.
