(SF4008) update update.bin
fix flash issue
It won't be in 009, which was released 9 days ago.
In fact Dev is running at 011, so don‘t expect the update.bin included until at least release 11 or 11+ ... and I haven‘t seen what it may fix.... or not:)

I've never used software update, but had a quick look and was surprised to see the SF4008 update mentioned.
Should this have been shown in the list of available updates??

Good question :) I guess its showing whats in the OEA updates log but this has not been built into any OpenViX release so far .

Hi twol would you advise people with sf4008 & running 4k resolution not to update until further notice of new drivers being tested & working ?

I no longer have this receiver, but if it was me I would wait to see a few tests e.g. it will have been in last nights OpenATV nightly builds, so hopefully by the next image release from OpenViX we will have an idea of any other issues - of late Octagon haven't had a great track record :)

i was thinking the same as you with the updates & im toying with the idea of selling the octagon & getting another 4k box maybe another hd51 as these to have less issues.

Never had an issue with the HD51. Without a great deal of spin, Mut@nt have done what they said, Kodi, S2x tuner (proper blindscan coming with an update), built in multiboot, Stalker (IPTV), HbbTV, driver updates OK.
Just looked at a thread on another forum and seen issues where they have not clean (usb) flashed - so usb clean flash and also they say no settings restore (I think to ensure they don't mess up the pip setting)

This driver update has been included in 5.1.011.....
Do not online update if you are currently on OpenViX image build 5.1.009 or below.
OpenViX 5.1.011 for Octagon SF4008 requires a new USB flash and setup.
Download from www.openvix.co.uk, USB flash and new setup.
Ive just done mine from v5.1.007 to v5.1.011 by usb & with a restore from my settings v.1.007 & it has worked perfect & my box is set to 4k mode with no pip :cool:
