Hi, I need to get rid of the audio description / narration.

Q1, does the latest Vix image fix this?
Q2, can I do it without loosing all my settings?

Last time it took me hours to get it going again..

You can flash newest image then restore settings and plugins. Shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes in total.

Image Manager will show you the latest image.
If you want to flash by USB, you can download it from here: http://www.openvix.co.uk/index.php/downloads/miraclebox-images/premium-twin-plus/

How do I backup / restore the settings? I can't see anything for that in the menus?

Also, does it fix the narration issue?

Menu/setup/vix
Create a backup.
Then when you flash the box it will give you the option to restore your settings. Choose yes.

Yes it fixes the audio issues.

If you do a couch flash then a settings back up will be done automaticly.
Then you will be offered the chance to restore settings during the new set up

Also depends what version of ViX you are on.

When I do a backup, it backs up the whole image, will it give me the option to just restore the settings section of that image?

The reason for so many Q's is at the moment, its working albeit with the audio issues..just don't want a days work, for a minor problem.

Backup manager backs up your settings and plugins. This is what you need.
Image manager is managing the whole image.

Many thanks guys, dunno what I was afraid of, it was all so easy, the VIX team have it nailed.
Everything works apart from EPG, even though it restored the EPG plugins....any ideas?

Sorted it, had to select "Rytec Virg** UK EPG" in the EPG providers list.

Well It's time I said..
Image flash .....DONE ✓
Audio..............FIXED ✓
EPG................FIXED ✓
Stuttering........FIXED ✓

Even the bloody picture is better! :confused:
