I have a chance to buy a DM7025 for £145 plus £18postage though haggle about that, is this a good deal? comes with 120GB HDD and will be selling my 7020 to ofset it

I personally think you will regret it, the 7025 was an early e2 box short on memory.
The 7020 running e1 was a true champ and I miss the 2 I had.
I think you would be better off selling the 7020 and saving for a Vu + duo to save be disappointed.
The sponsor also has a great deal on the Duo at present.

@donnie stanman has a duo and solo he wants to replace like for like the 7020 but with 2 tuners instead

The 7025 also had the worst psu ever even worse than the poor old Humax 5400

As Donnie said the earlier DM7025 had a real crap PSU. At least make sure its the DM7025+ Plus version, of save some money and yerself another Duo ;)

I have a VU+ which I am very happy with. The 7020 is in the bedroom and it would be nice to have a box with an extra tuner as the VU quite often is all recorded out at times. Also I can record something when the misses wont let me near it!!

I went for the 7025 as no HDTV in bedroom and it seem a waste of dosh getting the other E2 boxs which are mostly HD - as far as I have seen so far.

I have a panny 32W screen which is working fine and likely to be for several years. I did hook this up to a SOLO that I bought for my nephew and pic was fine but the menu's were a bugger to make out - they def last clarity compared to the VU on my HDTV so that is the other reason I didn't op for a E2 box - though sorely tempted by the QBOX mini.

I will be buying another when the TV is kaput but not just yet. mind you the QBOX is looking mightly attractive at the moment.
