View Full Version : [ViX_Misc] Channels freezing since updated image

Hi

I updated my image to 5.1.004 yesterday in order to solve the audio description issue, but whilst this got rid of the narration I am now getting freezing on these channels. Previously there were no issues with freezing. It appears to be happening only on channels where the programme is broadcast with audio description. Is this a known problem or is there something else that I should be doing? I am using openvix 5.1.004 on a edision os mega. I also have a miraclebox premium micro that i havent updated yet and do not have any freezing issues (albeit there is obviously the audio description problem).

Grateful for any help as I am at a complete loss.

Can you try a fresh install of ViX 5.1.004 without and settings or plugin restores so setting up as new?

I'll try that and see if it helps. I'll post on here when done to let you know if that helps. As nobody else has posted with the same issue I assume that it is a problem at my end.

I am also getting picture juddering after updating to 5.1.004. On my vu duo2 Mostly on terrestrial channels .

Is your refresh rate set to Multi?

Not sure - where do I find that?

The bit I can't understand is that when I updated I kept all previous settings - given that there were no issues with picture freezing previously then presumably the settings shouldn't now be causing the problem? I have even reverted back to the image backup I did just before updating - obviously the audio description issue returns but no picture freeze. Then when i do an image update again with saved settings and plugins the audio description is cured but picture freezing returns and it appears to be affecting only the channels/programmes with audio description.

My box is edision os mega - i think it is set to 50hz but not sure

Just a bit more info on this. Have been checking carefully what channels are suffering from freezing and it seems to be only the movie channels - all other channels appear to be running perfectly. Very strange - any ideas on the cause?
