Running VIX 1.3 with all updates - I have an 8GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade in the rear USB slot formatted as FAT32 and I have configured it for picon, EPG and automatic timeshift storage.
I rarely use the timeshift, however when I pause a live program for any length of time (over 1 minute) and then start playing I get pausing/freezing (approximately 5 seconds every 30 seconds).
I thought it might be because the device was FAT32, so I dismounted it and formatted to EXT3 (using the VIX/Devices menu) - when I rebooted the device no longer appeared in the list even after a power cycle.
What format should the USB drive be (or does it matter)? Is there any other reason why the timeshifted file would have stuttering but files recorded normally to the internal HDD play without problems?
