Updated bootloader for v1?

I've got a v1 here which has been playing up and I'd swear I read on here there was an updated bootloader which let you flash from image manager (it always seems to die using couch flash).

This was bought over 2 years ago when they first became available so it's on the original, but is there an updated one as I can't see one on the OpenVix site but I'd swear I read there was on here somewhere (although I can't find the post now!)

I'm basically trying to work out what's wrong with it and flashing everything up to the latest if possible.
